HARVESTING NET/ SEINE NET

Seine Net: Long walls of netting equipped with top floats and bottom sinkers; used by walking the net across a pond to herd and corral fish.

Important Selection Features
  • Mesh Size: Must match your fish size; smaller mesh prevents fingerlings from escaping, while larger mesh lets water flow freely during rapid pulls. 
  • Material Durability: Look for UV-resistant and rot-proof synthetic fibers (nylon, PE, or polyester) that withstand constant water and sun exposure.
  • Fish Safety: Soft, knotless, or smooth mesh reduces stress, scale loss, and skin abrasions on live stock.
